On Saturday, June 6, 2015, the Fuse Project raised $150,000 at its second annual Dragon Boat Festival at the 5 Rivers Delta Resource Center. With the participation of 45 teams and over 5,000 people in attendance, the event surpassed expectations and numbers from the previous year.

The memorial will be designed to honor all of those who sacrificed their lives in the War on Terror, with one section giving recognition for those specifically with strong ties to Alabama.
