Even after the fireworks no longer dot the sky, this July the Alabama Gulf Coast has plenty of entertainment for both residents and visitors alike to enjoy. Check out the events below in Baldwin and Mobile counties.

It's that time of year. Interstate 10 and any other route heading toward the U.S.S. Alabama Battleship or the beaches are packed with vacationers to our little slice of paradise. The traffic may be bumper to bumper Friday afternoons and wait times at our favorite restaurants may be longer than we'd like, but visitors to Mobile and Baldwin counties provide vital financial support to our area and the entire state.
According to the 2021 Alabama Tourism Economic Impact report, the 28.2 million visitors to our state spent $19.67 billion last year with the Gulf Coast accounting for 46 percent of that amount. Alabama's Gulf Coast contains several real estate markets depending on location and price point – just to name a few factors. The graphic below shows real estate statistics for May 2022, the latest month available.

Vital Signs provides a visual representation of what's happening in several local markets by showing you supply. The colored-coded numbers represent the absorption rate, the number of months it would take to sell every home on the market in a particular price range if no others were added. If the market is moving quickly, the absorption rate will fall below six months of supply, and if it's more of a buyer's market, it will jump above six months of supply.

New construction is booming in order to meet the demands of the more than 230,000 residents that now call Baldwin County home. Each month Baldwin REALTORS® creates a report from local government meetings to highlight what new developments are in the works in Baldwin County.
