Bellator Real Estate & Development’s West Mobile Branch Manager Don Jones was appointed April 5 by Gov. Kay Ivey to serve on the Alabama Real Estate Commission.
The Commission is tasked with serving the public through the licensing and regulating of real estate agents to ensure excellence in the profession. Jones, the appointed commissioner for the First Congressional District, will begin his service Oct. 1, 2021, following confirmation by the Alabama Senate and the end of current First Congressional District Commissioner J. Reid Cummings’ term.
“My nomination as real estate commissioner for the First Congressional District is the single greatest honor of my 25-year real estate career,” Jones said. “I look forward to applying my knowledge of Alabama License Law and Code of Ethics and experience as a qualifying broker for over 16 years to protect the public and play a cooperative role in rendering fair and impartial decisions brought before the Commission.”
Jones has served as the qualifying broker for Bellator Real Estate & Development’s Mobile Branch for the past nine years. Additionally, as the owner and primary instructor with 5 Star Real Estate School, Jones has taught continuing education and agent development courses, while also serving as an ABR instructor and a faculty member/instructor with Alabama Association of REALTORS® GRI program. Jones called focusing on practical business application of Alabama License Law principles and the National Association of REALTORS® Code of Ethics his greatest enjoyment in real estate education.
“Over the next five years of my term, I will strive to direct discussions to current issues in need of attention or action that will elevate the service of real estate practitioners to the public throughout Alabama in the coming years,” Jones said.
