Deborah often reflects on her childhood as an "upward climb," crediting much of her success to her father's wisdom. Growing up in a large family with seven siblings, Deborah's father instilled in them the importance of self-sufficiency and versatility. He taught them a wide range of skills, from fixing cars to cooking, from budgeting to cleaning. This comprehensive upbringing was designed to ensure they could take care of themselves and others. Deborah attributes her parents’ dedication and love to shaping her into the capable woman and accomplished real estate professional she is today.
Deborah is dedicated to serving others, enhancing local communities, and advancing the real estate industry she is passionate about. Appointed by Governor Kay Ivey, Deborah is honored to serve a five-year term (2023-2028) on the Alabama Real Estate Commission, a significant milestone in her career. Her extensive community and professional involvement includes serving as a member of the Mobile Branch of the NAACP, the Semmes Woman’s Club, and United Way of Southwest Alabama. Additionally, she is a Life Member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., having served as the immediate past president of the Delta Theta Omega Chapter in Mobile.
When she is not out educating and serving her clients, Deborah loves to spend time with her family, travel, craft, and garden at her home. She has been married forty years, has two daughters, and four grandchildren, of which she is affectionally called Gamma.
